Monastery, Ancient Town and Giant Wheel

Visit Songzanlin Monastery (松赞林寺)- the “Little Potala Palace”, If you can’t get to Tibet, then come to Shangri-La to encounter another “Potala Palace”.
🛕 Afternoon: Wander Back in Time
Roam through Dukezong Ancient Town(独克宗古城)–a post station on the ancient Tea Horse Road, a network of caravan paths winding through the mountains of Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet, also known as Southwest Silk Road.
Spin the Giant Prayer Wheel-21 meters high, 60 tons in total weight, the prayer wheel is made of gilded pure copper, containing 1.24 million scriptures and mantras, and 16 tons of various Buddhist treasures.

Return to Lijiang — maybe explore its lively night market or just chill.

Transportation: a 7-seater car with a driver-guide will be provided for groups of 4–5 people. We will arrange pick-up from Dali Airport or train station at the start of your tour and drop-off at Lijiang Airport or train station on your departure day.

Safety: due to the high altitude of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Shangri-La, travellers with chronic illnesses or elderly individuals should consult a doctor to determine if it is safe for them to visit high-altitude areas.
What’s excluded:
Flights: please arrange and book your international and domestic flights from your home country to Dali or Lijiang.
Trains: if you are traveling to or from another city within China, kindly arrange and book your train tickets in advance. Additional information on booking China train tickets is available in the FAQ section.
Travel Insurance: it is strongly recommended that you purchase travel and medical insurance with adequate coverage.
Other Expenses: excursions and activities not included in the itinerary are at your own expense.
